Marvin Sprouse has over 15 years' experience as a litigator, and as counsel to creditors, debtors, and other parties in interest in commercial bankruptcy cases. Marvin regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors, including financial institutions and landlords. Prior to starting the Sprouse Law Firm, Marvin was a partner at Jackson Walker L.L.P. in Austin, Texas.

Marvin works with clients to find cost-effective and efficient strategies to maximize recoveries, preserve collateral, and to present defenses to claims. He also represents asset purchasers, trustees, and defendants in bankruptcy cases.

Marvin is a frequent author and lecturer on a variety of collection-related topics. He has represented clients in diverse industries, including health care, commercial lending, real estate, intellectual property, energy, and food services. In addition to his work in federal and state courts in Texas, Marvin has represented clients in cases nationwide, including New York, Delaware, California, Nevada, Florida, and Illinois.

Marvin moved to Austin in 2002 with his wife Susan, who is an Austin native. Marvin and Susan moved to Austin to enjoy the beautiful country, laid-back lifestyle, and many opportunities for introspection and reflection while waiting for the lights to change. Marvin and Susan are the busy parents of two teenage boys, who enjoy running, soccer, swimming, wrestling, staying up late, and eating.
